An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer to join a leading company on a permanent basis in the Midlands area. The successful candidate will be responsible for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects and Continuous Improvement (CI) while utilizing Lean Manufacturing methodologies to improve efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical/Manufacturing degree or equivalent work experience, at least 3 years of experience in Manufacturing, and a proven track record of using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to improve processes. Familiarity with CAD software would be an advantage. The ideal candidate should be a proactive problem solver, thrive under pressure, take ownership of issues, and provide effective solutions. They must be able to self-prioritize workload in an NPI environment and lead technical meetings and discussions with customers. Additionally, they must be able to maintain H&S risk assessments for current and new processes.

The Manufacturing Process Engineer’s role includes maintaining and improving existing products, creating/updating work instructions, process sheets, and testing/validation plans. They will be responsible for designing and arranging the manufacture of jigs, fixtures, and test rigs, processing ECRs, and producing corrective actions. The ideal candidate should support business improvement with lean techniques such as PFMEA and FMEA, deliver continuous improvement, operational excellence, and Lean improvements, and perform root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques (8D, 5WHY, Fishbone).
